I would like to donate the set in memory of Wayne who contributed so much time and effort in the early days of the club and for the 1989 LGB Convention sponsored by the club. Originally, the set was valued at $700 but due to the times, is now about $300. The set is a Stainz engine with three cars, has been on display but never run. It does not contain track or transformer. Only 500 sets were made and only for LGB Club members." Click HERE for a bigger picture of an example of this set.

Dave has agreed that we can raffle the set, in order to help further the mission of the club as envisioned by Wayne (and Dave and others) many years ago. Tickets will be available at the banquet for $1 each and the winner will be selected at the banquet. You will certainly want to buy several tickets, as this will make a great addition to your layout or as a rare and interesting display item. Shipping the set is not practical, so, if you can't be there, have a representative at the banquet to buy your tickets and bring your prize home. But, of course, you will want to be there to chat with friends old and new, to hear about 'Taltree' and to vie for the many door prizes.

January 7, 2012 – UPDATE – Went to the Show today and saw the biggest crowd ever at a Fairgrounds Train Show AND the biggest ILSR module display I've ever seen. If you get a chance, GO!

January 1, 2012 – Although there have been some great train shows at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in recent months, coming this weekend, January 7 – 8, 2012 is an event only seen here every 5 to 10 years, the 'World's Greatest Hobby on Tour'. It fills 100,000 sq. ft. with 200 booths, including many rail hobby manufacturers showing new products, 20 operating railroads (including the ILSR Modular Group), free rides on a 'Thomas' train for the little ones, DCC trains for the adults to try and a lot more. Don't miss it!
