Dayton Four Club Bus Tour – The date – Saturday, August 6, 2011 – has been confirmed and has been added to the calendar on the left side of this page. This is a major event for the club, a tour you don't want to miss. Initial info here.

VP Don Davis – showed us last winter what he does to run trains while he is in Tucson. This year he sent us news about a big Tucson Garden RR Open House event. He forgot to mention how many of us he and Norma could put up (with) at their place:

Dates:  Saturday and Sunday, March 12 & 13, 2011
Times:  10:00 AM til 4:00 PM
Layouts: The tour includes eight garden railroads plus, as an added feature, the Toy Train Operators Museum is also open for the tour. There are photos and a general map of locations on our website – www.tucsongrs.org

Howz About a Peek – at one of the largest G Scale outdoor railroads in the United States? The completed Railway Garden at Taltree Arboretum in Valpariso, Indiana will cover 2.5 acres! The first phase opening is scheduled for Spring 2011. Sounds like a road trip to me. More here.

Modular Display – The ILSR Modular Group put together the usual impressive display at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for the Jan 8, 9, 2011 train show. Andy Chester provided excellent photos and captions here.

Garfield – As part of the "Indy Layouts" item on the menu on the left side of this page, I went to Garfield Park to take pictures of their Christmas display. I got there too late but did find a good looking blonde to give us a tour here.
