ILSR Website 1.0 –

• We are on the "Basic Hosting Plan – Personal and Small Business Web Site"
• We have "unlimited" storage
• We also have "unlimited" bandwidth [which is the volume of information per unit of time that a transmission medium (like an Internet connection) can handle]
• The Domain Registrar for this web site is also http://www.lunarpages.com/
• The domain http://www.indylargescaler.org/ was first registered on October 31, 2008
• The web site was launched November 10, 2008
• The free "Shop Talk" web site template from http://www.outfront.net/ was used for the original website
• The web site was originally constructed entirely by, and maintained by, a mildly experienced ILSR member volunteer
• The program used was the very obsolete FrontPage 2000 Version 4
• The site was built on a Dell Dimension 8400 (RIP)
• As of December 23, 2009, it is being maintained on a Toshiba laptop

ILSR Website 2.0 – 

• The Internet Service Provider decided, about September 1, 2010, to no longer support FrontPage Password Protection.
• Since that is essential to our web site, and since FrontPage is very old and inefficient, the decision was taken to move to WordPress software.
• An experimental domain (gtrain.org) was paid for by the ILSR board and an experimental website was created in order to learn the new system, it has been discontinued
• With excellent help from, and many hours invested by, a very experienced WordPress expert, the site was completely rebuilt on the experimental domain
• The rebuilt site was moved from the test site back to the original domain (indylargescaler.org) on May 23, 2011
