2010 Banquet

 - May 15, 2010 -

Speaker - David Wilcox

David gave an excellent illustrated talk about the the Indiana Transportation Museum, with a focus on business cars, particularly Nickel Plate #1. His knowledge and enthusiasm were a great addition to an outstanding evening.

Some Newer Members at the Banquet

It is always good to see recently joined members at our events. Among those were, shown below, Lance and Vickie Brock from Noblesville, who joined in 2009. Our first "rail raising" will take place at their house on Saturday June 5, 2010 at 9:00 am. Call them at 317-773-5008 and let them know you are coming to help.

Below is new 2010 member David Grounds, currently from Bloomfield. He has recently found out that he will be working in Evansville. We hope he will be able to stay in touch.

Door Prizes

Door prizes included excellent variety of box cars, beer cars, a Rath meat reefer, an oil tanker, some little people, an end-of-line piling kit, a covered bridge,  and - check this - a locomotive. Also included were 10 miniature trees from The Garden Gate Nursery and 4 hand carved feather pins from Mike and Sue Smith. Twenty-eight members went home with a prize:

Above - Paul auctioned his door prize and returned $55 to the club treasury.

Above - Ron took home the big prize, a locomotive.

An excellent evening!! Thanks to all who helped set it up and all those who attended.
