2008 Orchard in Bloom Display

Yes, you can do a garden railroad in less than a day…..

Orchard in Bloom Garden Show
May 2, 3, 4, 2008

For the past several years, the ILSR club has set up and operated a two track mainline display railroad for the annual Orchard in Bloom Garden Show at Orchard Park in Indianapolis. Jeff Carter headed up the crew to construct, operate and then remove the train display within the three-day event. Several members brought their own trains to run so the public enjoys a variety of trains and no one train has to put in three days of wear and tear. The club was proud to have won the "Peoples Choice" award for Micro Gardens. This is a popular vote by those attending the show.

Here's how you do it:
Step 1, lay down plastic sheets.
Step 2, lay down mulch.
Step 3, lay down track.

Step 4, add some structures and test the track.

Step 6, finish the details.
Step 7, let everyone know who you are.
Step 8, run some trains, have some fun!
Step 9, Impress the crowd and they'll vote you "People's Choice – Micro Garden"
Step 10, We did and they did!
