NOTICE…

Due to changing IRS regulations the ILSR club has had to have been incorporated… the attached information (please review) concerning our by-law update is in relation to these mandatory changes. Also, on Dec 1 or prior you will receive an envelope containing a postcard ballot that needs your approval for these changes and for the new 2018/2019 officers, please return by Dec. 15 . Thanks for helping maintain our club. We also  need a VP for this same term. A big thanks goes out to Spencer Spurlock for stepping up for the next 2 years.

NEW OFFICER CANDIDATES NEEDED for the following positions -President, VP, Webmaster

Our club cannot operate without some help…. just like the little red hen, don’t expect the same people to continue and keep the club momentum going… we need new “blood” to invigorate our group, consequently without your help the club will be HISTORY. Remember that there is plenty of support from past officers so you won’t have to go it alone!!!! Give any officer a call and step up to the task.

THANKS FOR STEPPING UP AND LEADING US INTO THE FUTURE.

Vickie & Lance Brock Open House

On July 8, Lance & Vickie hosted a well attended open house… They had multiple trains running in their wooded layout with a large waterfall and pond. Several older members attended who hadn’t be active for a while.

Vickie & Lance

If you didn’t attend you missed a perfect day !!!

Jacquie & Randy Banks Open House

On June 17 & 18, Jacquie & Randy had an open house for several groups… we had over 150 attendees, and approximatly 15 ILSR members. Enjoyed everyones compliments and other than a small hiccup with some derailments (all part of the experience) the day was a “smashing” success. No trains were injured during the outing!!! only the operator. Minor scratches and bruises, nothing fatal…

The circus is on the way

2017 Upland Berry Festival

On June 10 a motley group of Modular railroaders did a one day show in Upland, In. We had over 300 people view the downsized layout during the day. The visitors were of all ages and included model railroaders up to retired railroaders. Our very own member Geoff Schwartz provided new shirts for the group (available on request for $10 each).  See pictures below of the days activities:
