Great Banquet!
April 6, 2014 – Yesterday’s ILSR Annual Banquet was exceptionally well organized and presented. Upon arrival, all the ladies were given goodie bags with several unique and interesting items. After an excellent dinner, Bill Harryman presented pictures of, and directions to, his layout in Illinois in anticipation of the May 31, 2014 open house that he and Betty will be hosting. James previewed the upcoming 2014 ILSR events and President Jacquie presented all the past presidents with handmade personalized railroad-theme bookends. We finished with an amazing array of door prizes and a rail raising prize won by Wayne Smith. Congratulations to all involved for a job well done.

Subject: Great Train Expo–Dayton
Great job guys. I want to send out a great big thank you to all who helped make this show a fantastic weekend. We had large groups of people all day long around our display both days. I had a number of people compliment us on our layout. I kept in communications with Bill Grove from GTE during both days and he was very happy that we made the effort to make that show. He also got great feedback from people excited about our layout. For those of you who were not able to do this show, you missed a lot of fun. I understand obligations get in the way. Hope to see you next time. For those of us that stayed over, we were able to spend some quality time going out to dinner in the evenings have some fun and talk about things we don’t normally have time to do. We also have a new member that signed up at the show.

January 16, 2014 – We are pleased to welcome New Members Jeff and Alecia Larkin of Carmel to the Indiana Large Scale Railroaders club. They found us at our January 4, 2014 Indiana State Fairgrounds Great Train Expo modular display. They are currently accumulating track in preparation for building a layout. Short Show
January 6, 2014 – The Indiana Large Scale Railroaders Modular Division, with help from other members, put together a great modular display at the Great Train Expo show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Watch it in action HERE. We had a good crowd on Saturday January 4, 2014. Unfortunately, the impending snow storm forced the organizers of the show to cancel the Sunday event so we packed up and left Saturday night. Disappointing, but fun while it lasted. Thanks to all who helped and attended.
