January 1, 2014 – Welcome to the New Year! Bud has started another New Year with his usual excellent job with the ILSR newsletter. There are articles about how to save money on your dues, about our outstanding new officers, about the end-of the-year meeting, how to make a long-lasting tunnel portal for outdoor use, the new location of the Watts Train Shop and the 2014 calendar. WOW! What a great start for 2014!!

Subject: Set up– Great Train Expo
It’s that time again, set up for the Great Train Expo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds is Friday January 3rd, 2014. I will be there at 11:00 am. We had a great show there in October. Hope to see everyone. If I don’t hear from you I will assume you will be there. If you cannot make it let me know. If you can make it and you are bringing modules but you will be a little later than 11:00 let me know when you will be there so we can do set up accordingly.
For those of you who are new to set up, we are in the Blue Pavilion building. It is the one sponsored by Marsh. We are in the center rear of the building.
See you Friday-James H. Driesbach

Subject: Thank You
Hi Everyone,
Today, December 20th 2013, we sadly closed our doors. We would like to take this time to thank every one for their 75+ plus years of support. Aristo-Craft will live on through you.
We will continue with the Crest line to keep the Revolution going strong.
Our Nephew Scott will continue to keep the Polk name going with his new business Polk's GeneratioNeXt LLC. Keep an eye for more information from him.
Thank You,
Lewis and Maryann
And a good time was had by all…
November 16, 2013 – Excellent year end meeting! Members old and new had a chance to get together and chat, featured speaker Chris Schultz gave us an optimistic insider's view of the G Scale industry and information about his plans for a retail store in Dayton, the snack table had about a gazillion calories worth of outstanding snacks, we finally heard the last from the old, worn out President, we got some previews of plans for the coming year from our bright new President and Vice President in charge of programs and least of all, we got to see a 1:1000 scale train layout running in a G scale gondola car. Thanks to all who attended and helped.
A Further Tribute to the Module Group
November 4, 2013 – With all the great pictures available it only seemed right to again thank the ILSR Module group and show off more of their collective and individual work from the October 12 & 13, 2013 display at the Great Train Expo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. About 40 more pictures have been added. You can see the overall pictures of the new, improved layout HERE. And, to see the list of those who brought their modules and have a look at what they brought, click on the appropriate name from THIS list.
ILSR November/December 2013 Newsletter is Online
October 31, 2013 – Your Newsletter is in the mail and is also available right HERE on your website. Bud has done another excellent job. Included in the Newsletter is the Ballot for ILSR officers for 2014/2015. Bud also would like to be sure that everyone "will figure it out that with the way that the address is printed, a double fold is the only thing that works. Also, taping the ballot closed on 3 sides would assist in it arriving intact."
And Another New Member
October 23, 2013 – We pleased to say that our recent module display at the Fairgrounds attracted yet another new member to the club. Please welcome Andrew Jones of Kokomo. We hope to get a chance to meet you, Andrew, at our coming events.
Welcome New Members
October 22, 2013 – The Indiana Large Scale Railroaders club has three new member families. Brad and Valenda Loar of Bloomington, Indiana joined us for the Pizza Train trip then came to the Train Show at the Fairgrounds and became members. Also joining at the Fairgrounds Show were Rob and Kathy Kunkle of Peru, Indiana and John C. and Mitsy Niemeyer of Noblesville, Indiana.
Welcome to all three families, we hope to see you at our November 16, 2013 Year End meeting in Noblesville.
A Special Thank You
October 16, 2013 – I would like to send out a special thanks to Chris & Leslie Schultz — SCHULTZ ELECTRIC TRAIN LAYOUTS & HOBBIES — for being there for us. They give club members great discounts and when we need help during the Great Train Expo show Chris is always eager to help. They help in donating items for our raffle at our banquets also.
THANKS : JAMES H. DRIESBACH -VP. & MODULAR GROUP – ILSR
